The new UK Special Reconnaissance Regiment became operational in April 2005 at an undisclosed location. Individuals in this Regiment wear their parent Service Uniforms with the new SRR Regiment berets.

The Regiment draws its volunteer personnel from serving members of all three Armed Forces. Using its wide range of specialist skills and activities related to covert surveillance.

This is a very new and small regiment steeped in secrecy.
